The user can iteratively modify force sensation characteristics and feel the results, as well as synchronize the force sensations with the associated sounds. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) An apparatus for displaying a graphical representation of selected force sensation as characterized by user. Graphical representation provides user with a visual demonstration of a feel of the characterized force sensation and is displayed in force sensation design interface on a display device of a host computer. (2) A computer readable medium including program instructions for providing a force sensation design interface implemented by a computer for displaying a design interface on a display device of a computer.
