PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make arrangement possible even in a narrow space by swelling the bottom part of a fuel tank to a lower part and mounting a fuel pump unit on a swelled part.SOLUTION: A bottom plate in the rear part 7b of the fuel tank 7 is swelled to the lower part to form the swelled part 7c and a tank mounting edge part 51 to be the upper end of a cylindrical base member 50 is welded to the periphery of a bottom part opening 61 provided to a bottom part 60. A base side flange 55 having a diameter larger than that of the mounting edge part 51 is provided to the lower end part of the base member 50, a pump side flange 45 provided to the cap part 41 of the fuel pump unit 40 is superposed on the base side flange 55, a pressing plate 70 is superposed on the further lower part thereof and the pressing plate 70 and the base side flange 55 are bolted to fix the pump side flange 45. Since the bottom part 60 of the expansion part 7c may be narrow, the arrangement in a narrow space can be performed.
