Summary:The present invention relates to a self-extinguishing polymeric composition comprising: a) a stabilizing polymeric composition containing i) from 1% to 100% by weight of at least one copolymer containing as main unit, monomeric units of at least one type of vinylaromatic monomer and containing monomeric units of at least one type of vinyl monomer containing epoxy groups, wherein the oxirane oxygen, calculated on the entire copolymer (i), ranges from 70 to 5,000 ppm by weight, ii) from 0% to 99% by weight of one or more vinyl- aromatic polymers compatible with each other; b) from 0.03 phr by weight to 10 phr by weight, calculated on the basis of component (a), of at least one halogenated flame-retardant agent.
