Compositions for improving the compatibility of dissolved fertilizers and plant protection agents comprise (i) an alkyl-poly(oxyethylene) glycol ether of formula (I), R -O(CH2-CH2-O-)nH (I> wherein R is C6-24 alkyl and n is 4 to 20 (ii) 0.05 to 12.0 parts by mass of alkyl-poly(oxyethylene)-glycol ether, of a polyethyleneglycol ester of formula (II), < IMAGE > wherein R is C1-4 alkyl R is C9-21 alkyl, and m is 4 to 20 (iii) 0.1 to 60 parts by mass of the alkyl-poly(oxyethylene)-glycol ether, of an oxygeneous organic solvent (iv) not more than 10 parts by mass of alkyl-poly(oxyethylene)-glycol ether, of urea and/or inorganic water-soluble salt(s) containing nitrogen and/or phosphorus and/or potassium and (v) not more than 70 (parts by mass of alkyl-polyoxyethylene)-glycol ether of water.
