Summary:A program-controlled domestic appliance, such as a washing machine or dishwasher, linen dryer, cooker or the like, is equipped with a plurality of standing feet, at least one of which is designed as an adjustable foot. The latter can be continuously adjusted via a device in the bottom part of the appliance housing. In order to simplify the handling required for adjustment of the standing height and hence levelling of the domestic appliance on the appliance standing surface for the user and at the same time, in particular, largely eliminate the effort involved and the manipulations to be performed during the adjustment, a motor drive device is coupled to the adjusting device, the lifting force of which drive device is designed for slightly less than half the entire weight of the respective domestic appliance.
