Summary:The clutch bearing has a rolling-contact bearing that is mounted via flexible elements to allow self-centring, a rigid guide sleeve (10) being displaceable in the axial direction on a tubular guide under the action of an operating member and having an annular flange (12), supported on one side of which is a section of one of the races and supported on the other side of which, via a wearing plate held against the flange, is the operating member. The guide sleeve (10) has at least one locking tab (18), this tab being capable of bending under the action of a pressure exerted in the axial direction of the bearing, at least one radial supporting zone (24) for the wearing plate and at least one sliding guide (25) holding the wearing plate in its position. The wearing plate is installed by mounting the plate in an eccentric position and then exerting an axial pressure, which displaces the plate (16) radially into the sliding guide (25), until it is in contact with the radial support (24).
