Summary:In a double-cylinder circular knitting machine for the production of socks goods, cam rings (7, 8) to control the knock- over sinkers (6) have in each knitting feed working edges (71, 81) to open and close the knock-over sinkers (6). Working edge (81) for closing the knock-over sinkers (6) and for knocking-over the stitches is behind the place (X), where the heads of the upper needles (1) being lowered pass through the plane (19) through the lower edges of the hooks of opened knock- over sinkers (6). The place (Y) where the lower needles rise above the plane (19) follows the working edge (81) which is spaced from both places (X, Y) by at least a needle spacing. The upper needles are held by a horizontal edge (18) while the lower needles are being raised.
