Summary:Process for continuous spinning of viscose rayon, characterised in that the extruded filaments are partially coagulated and completely stretched and subsequently subjected to a postcoagulation treatment without stretching until a coagulation index between 0 and 1 is achieved. The filaments are then subjected to all necessary further operations. The postcoagulation treatment is carried out in two stages, in a first stage without treatment of the filaments and in a second stage in which the filaments are brought into contact with an acid bath at a temperature between 50 and 100 DEG C. The process of the invention makes it possible to increase the treatment speed without increasing the dimensions of the treatment zones and hence the apparatus, which represents an appreciable economic and technical advance.
