Automatic apparatus for the production of windows on a continuous web of paper or the like and for closing the said windows with pieces of transparent film or film carrying labels and the like, the apparatus comprising means for passing the said web through a cutting unit, then through a gluing unit and lastly through an assembly unit, the said cutting and gluing units being movable longitudinally with respect to the web, and the said apparatus comprising means for intermittently stopping the said web for predetermined periods of time depending on the distance required between the said windows, the said web stopping means and the means for moving the gluing and cutting units being controlled by a suitably programmed electronic computer. Apparecchiatura automatica per la realizzazione di finestre su un nastro continuo di carta o simile e per la chiusura di dette finestre mediante spezzoni di film trasparente o recante etichette e simili, comprendente mezzi per far traslare detto nastro attraverso un gruppo intagliatore, indi attraverso un gruppo incollatore ed infine attraverso un gruppo di montaggio, detti gruppi intagliatore ed incollatore essendo traslabili longitudinalmente rispetto al nastro, e comprendente mezzi per arrestare ad intermittenza e per tempi prestabiliti detto nastro in funzione della distanza richiesta fra dette finestre, detti mezzi per l'arresto del nastro e la traslazione dei gruppi incollatore e intagliatore essendo comandati da un calcolatore elettronico opportunamente programmato.
