Summary: | Manufacturing process for supports for foundry characters, made from a pair of plates joined to at least one stem. The process consists of plastically deforming and stamping each end of the stem so that a final element with reduced diameter is produced followed by an annular collar with a larger diameter, on positioning the non-perforated plate on the corresponding formed, final element of the stem, and when striking the plate against the element the plate is pierced by means of crossing part of the element, until the plate diverges from the annular support collar. The element is finally confirmed against the external face of the plate.(Figure 2) |
