Summary: | The circuit has a switch coupled to a source of a voltage supply and has a control input responsive to a signal that is indicative of when electron beam current cut-off is required and related to a deflection signal for the electron beam for selectively conducting a current associated with electron beam cutoff. A capacitor is coupled to the switch and to a control grid of the cathode ray tube for storing a charge to develop an electron beam blanking voltage on the capacitor. The switch conducts the current related to electron beam cutoff when electron beam current cut-off is not required and disables conduction of the current related to electron beam cutoff when electron beam current cut-off is required. The capacitor is charged from the current related to electron beam cutoff that flows through the switch and is supplied by the source of the voltage supply when electron beam current cut-off is not required. The switch decouples the source of the supply voltage from the capacitor and places the blanking voltage developed on the capacitor across the control grid when electron beam current cut-off is required to cut-off the electron beam current in the cathode ray tube. |
