Novel compounds of the general formula: in which: R represents an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, an alkylthio group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a hydrazine or amino group optionally substituted with one or more groups selected from alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, alkoxy having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, alkenyl having 2 to 5 carbon atoms or alkynyl having 2 to 5 carbon atoms, R represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or an amino group optionally substituted by one or two alkyl groups having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R represents a phenyl group optionally substituted by from one to three substituents selected from halogen atoms, alkyl groups having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, haloalkyl groups having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms and from 1 to 3 halogen atoms, nitro, alkoxycarbonyl, CN, SO2-alkyl having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a 2-thienyl or a 2-,3- or 4-pyridyl group, possess herbicidal activity.
