Summary:Novel 2,4-diaminothiazole derivatives of the general formula (I) which inhibit GSK-3 (glycogen synthase kinase-3), use of these compounds as medicaments, pharmaceutical compositions comprising the compounds and methods of treatment employing these compounds and compositions. The present compounds may be useful for the treatment of disorders, syndromes, diseases and conditions, wherein an inhibition of GSK-3 (glycogen synthase kinase-3) is beneficial, especially IGT (impaired glucose tolerance), type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, obesity, Alzheimer's disease and bipolar disorder.
