Summary:Provided are an expanded grid a manufacturing method for the same and a lead acid battery electrode plate and lead acid battery using said expanded grid. The expanded grid is formed by an expansion method and is provided with a mesh made up of a plurality of rhomboid shapes formed by grid ribs. The expanded grid is characterized by wrinkles being formed in some of the grid ribs protruding curved portions being formed thereon and in the projection view of the expanded grid if D1 is taken as the distance which is the length of the edge in the rhomboid mesh measured between two rhomboid grid ribs in which no wrinkles are formed and which are parallel to and face each other in a direction parallel to the remaining two grid ribs of the rhomboid and if D2 is taken as the distance measured from the apex of the curve in a grid rib in which a wrinkle is formed to the other grid rib which is parallel to and faces the grid rib in a direction parallel to the remaining two grid ribs the wrinkle formation degree W=(D2-D1)/D1 (where D2>D1) which indicates the degree of the curve in the grid rib being in the range of 0.09-0.19.
