Summary: | In the case of CD players having a memory with A memory locations for storing the tracks recorded on a CD, it is possible that there are more tracks C on the CD than there are memory locations A provided for this in the CD player. In order to make better use of the memory space in such cases and in order to keep the access times to the individual tracks low, instead of storing the starting times of the individual tracks, in some cases or in all cases the difference between the starting times of each two successive tracks is stored. The more tracks are recorded on a loaded CD, the better the memory space is used and the more the access times are reduced. |
