Summary:The invention relates to the constructive incorporation of the drum into the housing of a fully automatic washing machine of narrow design. The technical object of optimising the diameter of the drum so that there is still a sufficient falling height of the laundry during the washing process, without any restriction in the filling quantity of the dry laundry, is achieved in that the axis of symmetry of the drum lies on an imaginary section plane which is at right angles to the housing front.
