Summary: | On the shaft (3) is mounted a cup-shaped braking drum (4), cooperating with radially movable brake shoes (6) actuated by springs (7). A braking magnet (9) provides the lifting of the brake shoes against the spring force. It is energised on motor switching-on, and the brake shoes form the armatures of the braking magnets (8,9). - Pref. a part of the braking magnet (8) magnetic circuit is formed by a part of the ferromagnetic yoke (10) of a servomotor. The excitation coils of the stator are rated fully or partly as braking magnet for lifting the brake shoes from the brake drum. A braking electromagnet may be mounted outside the motor casing and its movable armature is mechanically connected to the brake shoes for the movement transmission. |
