Summary: | A thyristor-based switching over unit has specially selected and controlled thyristors for switching the tapping on the primary side of a high voltage transformer. A supplementary control unit has programmable digital and analogous elements defining the direct control signals of insulated-gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs) of the serial resonant direct current (DC)/alternating current (AC) converter. A loss optimizing effect is respectively held in the programs of the supplementary control unit. The control unit uses output signals of an impulse width generator of two outputs of usual function. |
