Summary:The casing is for an air-conditioning apparatus and has a rectangular frame (1) whose uprights and rails are formed by a hollow plate profile. The frame is closed in an airtight manner by covers (3) fixed to it. The hollow profile in vertical insert directions (2) to the individual covers has a back-cut (4) to accommodate a pre-tensioned spring component (11) and a stop strip (5), on which locates a seal (16) together with at least one of the covers. The two stop strips of the hollow profile are at right-angles to each other on the inside of the frame. They are formed near their longitudinal edges by flat plate sections (21,22) located one on the other.
