Summary: | The invention relates to compounds: wherein R stands for hydrogen or an R -CO-,trialkylsilyl, alkoxyalkyl or tetrahydropyranyl group; R represents a straight or branched chain C1-4 alkyl, phenyl or substituted phenyl group; A means hydrogen; B means hydrogen, iodine, bromine or a C6H5-Se-group; C stands for hydrogen; or A and B together may represent a chemical bond and C is hydrogen; or B and C together may represent a chemical bond and A is hydrogen; D means hydrogen or an R O- group with alpha- or beta-configuration; E stands for hydrogen, -CH2-O-R group with alpha- or beta-configuration or -F-(CHOR )-R with @@@ alpha- or beta- configuration; D and E together form a chemical bond; R means hydrogen or an R -CO-, trialkylsilyl, alkoxyalkyl or tetrahydropyranyl group; R is hydrogen or an R -CO-, trialkylsilyl, alkoxyalkyl or tetrahydropyranyl group; F stands for a -C IDENTICAL C-, cis or trans -CH=CH- group; and R means a straight or branched chain C4-8 alkyl or a C5-6 cycloalkyl group. The compounds of the formula (I) are useful intermediates for the preparation of further products of formula (I); they also show a biological action (platelet aggregation-inhibiting effect) similar to though weaker than that of prostacyclin and have a higher stability. |
