Summary: | A process control element adapted to be used as a portion of a process control routine implemented on a processor to control a plurality of control and auxiliary parameters of a process using a multiplicity of manipulated parameters. Said element comprising a computer readable medium, a function block to implement a multiple input, multiple output controller routine (MIMO). Said function block comprising an objective function, an optimizer routine, a control matrix and a MIMO control routine. The function block further comprises storage for storing a set of control parameter set points and auxiliary and manipulated parameter limits; storage for a set of control parameter set point limits; storage for a set of priority indications for said control parameters; storage for a set of priority indications for said control parameters; and storage for a set of priority indications for said auxiliary parameters. |
