Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print or display even a plurality of characters with no strange feeling by providing means for printing or displaying a specified number of numerals constituting a specified place em number at the size of other one character thereby enhancing variety of output mode of numeral part. SOLUTION: In order to input a two or three place em number as one type of symbol, a CPU 21 starts an input symbol acquisition program 22a stored in an ROM 22 when a symbol input designation key is operated. The CPU 21 presents an initial candidate of the type of symbol on a liquid crystal display 35. Symbols for VTR cassette, unit and description are prepared and a two or three place em number 15 also prepared as one type of symbol. Subsequently, the CPU 21 determines operation of a selection key or a changing key for changing current candidate of the type of symbol. |
