Neurotrophin-3 a novel neurotrophic factor related to nerve growth factor and brain derived neurotrophic factor
NT3 is a member of the DBNF gp. It is based in part on the identification of regions of nucleic acid sequence homology shared by BDNF and NGF. The regions of homology may be used to identify new members of the BDNF/NGF gene gp. See US application No. 400,591 filed 30 August, 1989. The purified NT-3...

Summary: | NT3 is a member of the DBNF gp. It is based in part on the identification of regions of nucleic acid sequence homology shared by BDNF and NGF. The regions of homology may be used to identify new members of the BDNF/NGF gene gp. See US application No. 400,591 filed 30 August, 1989. The purified NT-3 protein and its prodn. by growing a host cell comprising the DNA molecule are claimed. The protein may be glycosylated or unglycosylated. Antibodies to NT-3 are also claimed and are produced by immunising a host animal with a neurotrophin-3 protein or its fragment. |
