Summary:A microgranular preparation having a core comprising one or more biologically active materials in an immobilised form, the core being encapsulated within a water soluble film and coated with enteric coating comprising an alkali soluble, acid insoluble polymer or a high molecular weight polymer, whose structure is substituted with or contains windows of fatty acids or other material capable of being solubilized by intestinal juices. Methods for increasing animal growth and methods for the treatment of scour in piglets which comprises the administration of an effective amount of the aforementioned microgranular preparation.
