Class 20(4) A tendon, for reinforcing concrete, comprises a plurality of steel wires 10 in a wrapping 12, the spaces between the wires being filled with a hardenable material, e.g. cement or synthetic resin, in its unhardened condition. A spiral member 11 may be incorporated for the injection of hardening fluid either before or after tensioning. Heat can be applied by passing an electric current down the wires if synthetic resin is used. The space between the member 8 and the tendon is filled with concrete. |
