Summary:A cleaning adaptor 100 for an air/water port of an endoscope, the cleaning adaptor being a unitary element comprising a sealing plug 102. The sealing plug has a tubular stem 104 extending between first and second ends and includes a longitudinal passage 106, the longitudinal passage being open at the first end 108 of said stem. A head portion 122 closes the longitudinal passage at the second end 110 of the stem, with the head portion including a flange 124 extending radially outwardly from the stem. At least three annular seals 112 extend radially outwardly from the stem and are spaced apart along a length of the stem. A transverse passage (120, Fig 8) extends through the stem and provides a fluid flow path between the longitudinal passage 106 and an aperture 116 in an outer surface of the stem, the aperture being disposed between two of the at least three annular seals. Also disclosed is a system comprising an endoscope and the cleaning adaptor, and a method of using the cleaning adaptor.
