Summary:A hydraulic electronic control unit 100 and braking system comprising a linear actuator 10 and a valve support 13. The linear actuator includes a ball screw drive 14 with a spindle 17 rotatable by electric motor 11, a nut 18 able to translate on the spindle, and a pipe 15 connecting the nut to piston 19 which slides inside piston housing 20 in a through bore 13.1 of the valve support. In a first example (re figures 5-13) the pipe 15 is cylindrical and the nut includes a longitudinal rectangular flat side (18.3; figs. 10-13) on its cylindrical outer surface which is in contact with a matching longitudinal rectangular flat area (13.2; figs. 10-13) along the entire length of the valve support through bore 13.1. In a second example (re figures 14-17), the pipe (35; fig. 15) is shaped as a cylinder with two parallel flat sides (35.3; fig. 15) which are in contact with two parallel slot hole flat sides (32.2; fig.16-17) of a central hole of a sealing (32; fig. 14-17) between the motor housing and the valve support. The contact between the flat sides/surfaces prevents rotation of the nut, pipe and piston when the spindle rotates.
