Summary: | A solid-form anhydrous cleanser concentrate formulation comprising; i) an acidic cleaner selected from citric acid or malic acid in an amount from 20%-65% (w/w); ii) a basic cleaner selected from sodium carbonate or bicarbonate, and, iii) a preservative (optionally sodium benzoate or gluconolactone) in an amount from 10%-30% (w/w); and iv) a surfactant (which may be an anionic surfactant such as sodium lauryl sulfate or sodium coco sulfate, or, a non-ionic surfactant based on ethoxylated alcohols or alkyl polyglucosides) in an amount from 10%-20% (w/w). The formulation may additionally comprise a binding agent (optionally polyethylene glycol, sorbitol or dextrose), a fragrance agent, a lubricating agent and a colouring agent. The formulation may be in tablet form or powder form. The formulation is particularly suited to cleaning glass. A second aspect is directed towards a method of preparing a tablet of a formulation according to the first aspect. |
