Summary:An optical connector connecting jig (20) according to an embodiment extends in a direction (D1) in which an optical fiber and a built-in fiber extend. The optical connector connecting jig (20) comprises: a plate-shaped base (22) to be mounted on an optical connector so as to cover the optical connector; a wedge part (21) protruding from the base (22) and to be inserted into a mechanical splice; operation parts (23) respectively provided on both sides in the width direction (D3) of the base (22), and protruding farther than the optical connector in the width direction (D3); a pair of first engagement parts (24) respectively provided on both sides in the width direction (D3) of the base on one side in the longitudinal direction (D1) of the base (22), and protruding toward the optical connector; and a pair of second engagement parts (25) respectively provided on both sides in the width direction (D3) of the base on the other side in the longitudinal direction (D1) of the base (22), and protruding toward the optical connector.
