More Information
Summary:A lateral flow test device for performing a lateral flow test on a liquid sample, comprising: a test strip which comprises: a nitrocellulose membrane having a first capturing reagent disposed on a first surface along a test line, the first capturing reagent being configured to capture a first analyte in the liquid sample; a sample pad disposed at a first end of the nitrocellulose membrane configured to receive the liquid sample; a labelling reagent comprising a plurality of label molecules disposed on the first surface at a position between the sample pad and the test line, the label molecules being configured to bind to the first analyte; and an electrode array disposed over the nitrocellulose membrane configured to apply an electric potential across the first surface. The device may be used in conjunction with an electronic reader comprising a communication port configured to couple with the device for measuring a result of the lateral flow test. The reader may generate an electrical signal in the electrode array of the device to drive an electrochemical reaction in the test strip.
