Summary:A system receives a data glossary such as a business glossary comprising a list of terms and their definitions. The system then measures a usage dimension for a set of the terms from the list, e.g. based on how frequently each term is used by users. The system selects candidate terms from the set based on the usage dimension, e.g. selecting those terms that have crossed a maintenance threshold. A maintenance action is performed on the candidate terms, such as prompting a user to provide improved definitions of the terms, or deleting infrequently used vocabulary.
