Summary:A haircare appliance having an air inlet (22 figure 2), an air outlet 110, and an airflow generator (16 figure 2) for generating an airflow from the air inlet to the air outlet. The haircare appliance has a curved surface 104 adjacent to and downstream of the air outlet. Airflow from the outlet attaches to the curved surface via the Coandă effect. The air outlet comprises an open cross-sectional area in the region of 140mm2 to 450mm2. The haircare appliance may also comprise a flat surface (224 figure 8) adjacent to and extending rearwardly from the air outlet. Also disclosed is an attachment for a haircare appliance, the attachment comprising an air inlet and air outlet a curved surface adjacent to and downstream of the air outlet.
