Summary:The invention relates to a method of dynamically sending notifications to a user based on their status, which is identified using cameras, such as surveillance cameras. The method involves obtaining notification data for the user, 210, and obtaining a first set of images, 215, of the user from the one or more cameras. A first status of the user is identified, 220, based on the first set of images and a set of notification options generated based on the first status, 225. A first notification option, 230, is then selected and a first notification initiated. If it is determined that the user does not acknowledge the first notification, 245, a second set of images of the user is obtained, 215, which are used to identify a second status of the user, 220. A second notification option, 230, is then selected and a second notification initiated. The notifications may be haptic, visual or audible alerts using a mobile device of the user or some other notification system (such as a public address system.)
