Summary:A display method of a user interface and an electronic device applied to fingerprint registration. The display method includes the following steps, conducted by a processor: obtaining a plurality of swiping images through a fingerprint sensor; analysing the swiping images to obtain a plurality of feature points of the plurality of swiping images; merging the plurality of feature points of the plurality of swiping images into a pre-registration dataset; analysing the pre-registration dataset to obtain a coordinate parameter; updating a range of the filled region of the reference image according to the coordinate parameter and an area of the swiping image; displaying a filled region on a reference image on a user interface of a display according to the plurality of swiping images; and analysing the pre-registration dataset to determine whether to end the fingerprint registration process. The fingerprint registration may be ended when the area of the pre-registration dataset is greater than a predetermined threshold. The present invention informs the user of the fingerprint registration progress through a display of the electronic device.
