Summary:A pressure control apparatus 20 comprises a body 50 having an inlet 21 and an outlet 28. Mounted within the body is at least one check valve (24a, 24b figure 3b) and a pressure regulating valve 26. The body comprises a check valve bore (25 figure 3b) in which at least one of the check valves is mounted, wherein the check valve bore is non coaxial with at least one of the inlet and the outlet. At least one check valve and pressure regulating valve are in the same body which reduces the amount of installation work required by the installer as it is only necessary to make two connections, one to the inlet and one to the outlet. No intermediate connections are required between the check valve(s) and the pressure regulating valve. The arrangement also allows the overall unit to take up less space than the individual components and interconnections would require. A later embodiment relates to a method of making a pressure control apparatus characterised by inserting at least one check valve into a check valve bore and inserting a pressure regulating valve into a pressure regulating bore.
