Summary:A cable clamp 10 comprising a clamping region 18 (first and second clamping plates 12, 14) first and second clamping members between which a cable is clamped, and a break assist mechanism (set of blades 28, 30) configured such that the cable breaks when a predetermined axial load is applied to the cable in a first direction along a longitudinal axis of the cable. The axial load may be greater than 1800N. the clamp may include a mounting structure 58 to be attached to a pole e.g. a bracket, flange or fastener opening.
