Summary:An electro-mechanic assembly comprising a snap connector (10, Fig. 1) providing a connection interface for an electronic device having a housing with at least one protruding stud 38 which detachably fits within socket region (20, Fig. 1) of snap connector (10, Fig. 1). The assembly comprises a female snap and at least one material layer 18 which has at least one electrically conductive portion to connect at least one electrode 24 with the snap. At least one surface of the snap is metallic and deposited with a non-oxidizing conductive material layer 17, 19 which faces and is in contact with the conductive portion of material layer 18. The electronic device may be a telemetric device (50, Fig. 4) such as a heart rate monitor. Material 18 may be a textile or garment such as a heart rate monitor belt. Non-oxidizing conductive material layer 17, 19 may contain gold, platinum, iridium or titan and may be deposited by Atomic Layer Deposition, Physical Vapor Deposition or Ion Plating. Upper portion 12 can be metallic. Base portion 14 can be metallic or polymer. Electrode 24 can be integrated into material layer 18 or in electrical contact with the conductive part of it.
