Summary:An infant play apparatus comprising a mat 999 including a plurality of areas 99 for two or more infants. The regions 99 extend radially about a tending position 199 from where a caregiver tends to the children. The tending location 199 is defined by an edge of the mat 999 forming a recess from which the areas 99 extend. The zones 99 may be substantially circular and may intersect along chords between two points on the circumference of one area 99. These intersections may be permanent. The apparatus may include at least one hanging device, optionally having arcuate members from which toys can be suspended and articulation such that these hooks can be rearranged. A hanging device for use with the play apparatus is also disclosed, and may be arranged to connect with another having device such that toys can be suspended over more than one zone 99.
