Summary:An aircraft passenger accommodation unit 1000, suitable for locating next to the aisle of an aircraft cabin, has a seat 100; a shell 110 at least partially surrounding the seat, with an opening (fig.1,120) in the shell to allow passenger access; and a door having a base portion 131 moveable in a first direction 133, and a second portion 132 moveable in a second direction 134 transverse to the first direction. When stowed, the second portion overlaps the base portion with a greater area than when it is deployed. When the second potion is deployed the base is able to move between open and shut positions. Preferably, a guide track (fig.11,171) is provided on the second portion, with a corresponding guide member (fig.11,180) on the shell. The member may retain the track between biased jaws (fig.11,181,182) when the second portion is deployed, with a release latch (fig.11,183) protruding from the shell to move the jaws apart allowing the second portion to be stowed. A guide track and guide member may also be provided between the base portion and the second portion; and between the base portion and the shell.
