A fluid distribution assembly 28 includes a distribution device 100 which has at least one device inlet 104 for receiving fluid and at least one device outlet 105 for directing fluid out of the device 100. The assembly 28 also includes at least one distribution plate 101,102 which is adjacent to the device 100. The plate 101,102 includes at least one distribution arrangement 120,121,122,124 (figure 8) for controlling the communication of fluid to and/or from the at least one device inlet and/or outlet 104,105. The plate 101,102 may include at least one plate passageway 125 extending therethrough. The at least one distribution arrangement 120 may have at least one combination arrangement 120 (figure. 8) which is configured to combine fluid from multiple device outlets and direct the combined fluid through the at least one plate passageway. The assembly 28 may be used to distribute lubricating fluid and reduces the number of lines or hoses to supply said fluid to the assembly, thus minimizing the likelihood of a line or hose being damaged in operation. The assembly 28 may be used in a coupling assembly for a machine.
