Summary: | Wireless power system with a wireless power transmitting device and a wireless power receiving device 24. The receiving device has first and second coils 48 to receive wireless power signals and an adjustable rectifier circuitry 50 (ARC) coupled to the coils, outputting DC power. The ARC operates in first and second modes. First mode: the ARC forms a full-bridge rectifier. Second mode: the ARC forms a pair of parallel half-bridge rectifiers. The coils are connected in series via a node N1. The ARC may have an array of four diodes D1-D4, and a transistor T5 coupled to the node N1. A control circuitry turns the transistor T5 on/off to adjust the ARC between modes. In another embodiment, the coils, ARC and control circuitry are disposed within a housing and display, e.g. mobile phone. The ARC is configurable between receiving AC signals from the coils that are in phase with one another, and receiving AC signals from the coils that are out of phase with one another, i.e. the ARC can adjust according to whether the coils' respective received magnetic fields are in- or out-of-phase with one another. |
