Summary:A water purification apparatus which provides at least three dispense purified water streams of different water purities, the apparatus comprises: a first water purification station 14 providing a first purified water stream 18; a valve 20 able to select either a first dispense purified water stream 22 and/or a first continuing water stream 21; a reservoir 26 to receive the first continuing water stream and to provide a second internal purified water stream 30, a second valve 44 able to dispense a second dispense purified water stream 46 from the apparatus; a second water purification station 48 receiving the second internal purified water and providing a third purified water stream 50; a third valve 54 able to select either a third dispense purified water stream 56 and/or a third continuing water stream 53; a recirculation loop 36 to return the third continuing water stream into the reservoir; and a pump 38 to pump the second internal purified water stream from the reservoir around the recirculation loop. The apparatus may be portable for moving around a laboratory. The third dispense purified water stream can be ultra-pure water of resistivity > 15 Mohm.cm.
