Summary:Disclosed is a valve member comprising: a first plate 14 with a plurality of first holes 19, 11 extending generally perpendicularly there through, a second plate 16 with a plurality of second holes 20 extending generally perpendicularly there through, the second holes being offset from the first holes of the first plate, with a spacer disposed between the first and second plates to form a cavity in fluid communication between the first and second sets of holes, a flap 18 disposed and moveable between the first and second plates, where the flap has holes 22 which are aligned with the second set of holes and offset from the first set of holes, the flap being able to be moved towards one of the plates in response to a change in direction of differential pressure of the fluid across the valve, where are least one of the plates includes an anti-wear coating 60 to control distribution of forces on the flap and prevent wear in particular areas.
