Abstract | A method of forming a compound of formula (X), the method comprising reducing a compound of formula (VI) to give a compound of formula (IX); reacting the compound of formula (IX) with an acid of formula HA to provide the compound of formula (X): wherein R1 is -CH2Ph; R2 is selected from hydrogen, -C1-4-alkyl, -C2-4-alkyenyl and C1-4-alkyl-aryl; R3 is selected from -C(O)H and -C(O)C1-4-alkyl; and A is a pharmaceutically acceptable anion is provided. A method of forming a compound of formula (X) from a compound of formula (VI) wherein R1 is tert-butyl is also disclosed. A compound of formula (VI) wherein R1 is -CH2Ph; R2 is ethyl and R3 is C(O)CH3 is also disclosed. |
