Summary:Bearing element 20 having a PCD body 22 bonded to a ring-shaped substrate 24 along an interface 26, the PCD body 22 has a core extending through the hole of the substrate 24. The substrate 24 may be tungsten carbide (WC). Second aspect is a bearing assembly having multiple bearing elements 20, mounted on respective counter-bore-shaped recesses on a support ring 30, each recess may have a through-hole 34 to expose the bottom of the PCD body 22, such that coolant (fig 7, 39) or a heat sink (fig 9, 72) may cool the PCD body. Third aspect is a drill, a motor, or a turbine with the said bearing assembly.
