Summary:A honing tool comprises a tool body 11, a pneumatic measuring device (26 fig. 1) for in-process diameter measurement of a diameter of an opening to be machined in a workpiece and at least two hone strips 16 which are radially feedable via a rack-and-pinion gear 44 comprising a central toothed shaft 40 and racks 42 associated with the hone strips 16 to feed the hone strips. Hone strips 16 each comprise a clamping device releasably clamping at least one honing stone 18 to a support 76 and the clamping device may comprise a clamping element 102 and a joining section (80 fig. 7) formed on the support 76, the honing stone 18 being clamped between the clamping element 102 and the joining section (80 fig. 7). A fixing element 112 may abut the clamping element 102 and urge it towards the joining section (80 fig. 7)
