A display apparatus comprises: a display panel 100 configured to display an image; a rear structure 200 supporting the display panel and including a through hole 210 in a thickness direction; a vibration generating device (300, Fig.3) including sound generating module(s) 310 in the through hole to vibrate the display panel; a vibration transfer member 600 between the display panel and vibration generating device configured to transfer a vibration of the vibration generating device to the display panel; and a buffer member 400 on one of the display panel and the rear structure. The buffer member may prevent or reduce an external impact applied to the display panel from being transferred to the vibration generating device; therefore, the maximum displacement of the vibration generating device may be limited (Fig.5). The display apparatus may comprise a partition member 511, 513 between the display panel and rear structure, the partition being thicker than the buffer. The buffer member may be one of a plurality of buffer members, which are disposed symmetrically with respect to the vibration transfer member.
