A cab protection system for a cab 1 of a vehicle or work machine, the system comprising at least one attachment member 2 attachable to the cab, and at least one removable protective panel 8 adapted to protect the cab. The at least one panel includes a lock (84, Fig. 5(a)) adapted to lock the at least one panel to the cab and is removably attached to the attachment member. The system comprises a storage receptacle 24 for storing the at least one panel, wherein the at least one panel forms a removable lid for the receptacle. The system may comprise a plurality of removable protective panels 8, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, stowable in the storage receptacle and may engage or lock to adjacent panels and/or the cab in use to secure the vehicle cab (see Fig.10). The at least one attachment member may comprise engaging tabs (22, Fig.2) that may co-operate with slots (82, Fig.5) disposed in the at least one panel. The receptacle may comprise hinge tabs 249 to permit the at least one panel to be removably hinged to the receptacle by means of slots. The receptacle may be mountable on the vehicle.
