Summary:A retaining peg 200 comprises a body portion 210 configured to directly or indirectly secure a plant shelter to a section of soil positioned underneath the shelter and a wire-attachment portion 220 configured to engage a wire located proximate to the plant shelter. The wire-attachment portion includes a first end 222 proximate to the body portion and a second end 224 distal to the body portion, in which the wire-attachment portion includes a plurality of bent portions (figure 4, refs 230, 232, 234, 236) to define at least one hook portion spaced-apart from the body portion. The hook portion may be bent in two planes different to the plane of the main body portion. Also disclosed is a kit of parts comprising the afore-described peg and a plant shelter and a method of protecting a plant using the peg and a shelter.
