Summary:The power train mount system 103 includes: an active magnetic bearing and a controller 115. The bearing supports at least a portion of the powertrain relative to the body of a vehicle 125. The controller is configured to determine an operational state of at least one of the power train and the vehicle. Also claimed is a powertrain mount comprising two brackets1 105, 107 with an electromagnet 111configured to support the brackets relative to each other. The operational states measured can be the power output, when the vehicle is performing a manoeuvre, wherein in response to the states the stiffness of the bearing is adjusted.
